Cayenne Cafe’s Mediterranean menu features organic dishes sprinkled with flavors from garlic, mint, parsley, cumin and olive oil. It has been lauded by
Los Angeles magazine and the
L.A. Times called it "a colorful bazaar of dazzling flavors”. Owners Sam Amad and Executive Chef Noura Elnasser have added a new
carte du jour to include a fusion of American and European cuisine. Come weekends, the eatery is prime for La Brea brunching with al fresco seating beneath canvas umbrellas.
Chef Elnasser lived and traveled across Europe and North Africa, picking up flavors, nuances and techniques that are expertly reflected in her cuisine. Elnasser’s mother and muse serves as Cayenne’s pastry chef, creating traditional desserts like tiramisu and rice flan with orange blossom and pistachios.
