Bar Nineteen12 was named in honor of the Beverly Hills Hotel’s opening year, and has since hosted everyone from Charlie Chaplin, Joan Crawford and Fred Astaire to Jimmy Stewart. The space features an elegant indoor bar steeped in Hollywood history and a poolside terrace with panoramic views of Beverly Hills. From the kitchen are mini-sliders, crispy avocado rolls with mango and chili dipping sauce, and burrata cheese flatbread; from the bar are intriguing options like house-infused fig cognac and DeLeon Diamante tequila.
A special cocktail list celebrates the bar’s 100 years in the 90210, from The Rat Pack (with Gentlemen Jack Daniels, honey syrup, egg white and lemon) to The Pink Palace (a nickname for the Hotel after it was painted pink to complement the Beverly Hills sunsets) with Nolet Silver dry gin, Poire William pear brandy, lemon juice and house raspberry syrup. Until the end of January, there will be live music Wednesday through Saturday, from Sinatra-era crooners to R&B artists belting out the blues.
