LEE BRIAN SCHRAGER JOINS GILT CITY AS CHIEF LIFESTYLE ADVISOR
Schrager consults with Gilt City to bring its members the best in lifestyle and dining
New York, NY (April 14, 2011) – Gilt City, the leading online destination for local luxury and lifestyle offers, announces that Lee Brian Schrager, Vice President of Corporate Communications & National Events for Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc., will begin consulting with the company in the newly created role of Chief Lifestyle Advisor. Schrager will curate top tier restaurant experiences and create unique, culinary-oriented content exclusively for Gilt City members.
This partnership is a natural fit for Schrager, who is known for his creation of both the Food Network South Beach and New York City Wine & Food Festivals during his 12 years at Southern Wine & Spirits. Widely recognized for his knowledge of the latest lifestyle and dining trends, Schrager will extend to Gilt City members the same VIP perks he himself enjoys at some of the country’s most notoriously exclusive restaurants. For example, Gilt City members will begin having access to highly coveted reservations at top culinary destinations across the United States. Schrager will work with the nation’s leading chefs to create one-of-a-kind dining experiences, with pairings selected from his favorite wine choices.
“I’m thrilled to be consulting with the Gilt City team to establish the site as the top destination for dining offers at exclusive prices,” said Schrager. “The advisory role complements what I do on a daily basis in my role at Southern Wine & Spirits of America and I look forward to consulting with Gilt City to help take the incredible online destination they already have established to the next level.”
Through a regular feature, “Table Talk with Lee Schrager,” Schrager will answer Gilt City members’ questions about where they should eat across the globe. Members looking for the best fried chicken in Chicago or the best romantic dinner in New York will be able to solicit Schrager’s opinions via social media (@GiltCity) and Gilt City’s website. Schrager will be sharing the inside scoop on his favorite food, wine and cocktail picks for every occasion. Additionally, he will be talking to top chefs and restaurateurs—including Jacques Torres and Jamie Oliver—for his “Grilled in 60 Seconds” series (http://www.cityunlisted.com) which will virtually bring Gilt City members into the kitchens of the world’s top talent.
“Lee’s expertise highlighted on Gilt City will give our members insider access to the very best the dining industry has to offer. He is one of the top influencers in the food world, and we look forward to creating offers with the country’s top restaurants and chefs to benefit our members,” said Nate Richardson, President of Gilt City.
