CityVoter Announces Partnership With Gilt City to Pick Best

California Residents Who Cast Votes Online Offered Chance to Win $10,000 Prize Package

Cambridge, MA; January 24 – CityVoter Inc., the leading social media platform for the insider scoop on the best of every city, launches four user-generated contests in the California area as the first initiative in a partnership with Gilt City, the widely acclaimed online destination for luxury services and experiences.

Over the next eight weeks, CityVoter users will vote for their favorite people, boutiques, restaurants, local media personalities, services and attractions in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orange County and Inland Empire. The winner in each category will gain the title of “best” in the specific city.

Voting kicks off today, January 24, 2011, and ends on March 18, 2011. This is the fourth annual CityVoter contest.

This year marks CityVoter’s first partnership with Gilt City, a subsidiary of Gilt Groupe Inc., which offers members exclusive access to a city’s most coveted restaurants, spas, entertainment venues, service providers and cultural offerings at amazing prices.

In its voting platform, CityVoter has integrated an exclusive $10,000 Gilt City giveaway of prizes including gift certificates to the best local businesses and credits to use on Gilt City. One lucky on-line voter from both Los Angeles and San Francisco will be awarded the prize. Each vote cast per category (182 categories in San Francisco and 156 categories in Los Angeles) will count as a chance to win. In addition, CityVoter will award the top business in both Los Angeles and San Francisco who garners the most overall votes with a cash donation of $500 to the charity of its choice.
