In 1996, Chef Andy Husbands created a memorable menu for his New American restaurant, featuring flavors and culinary accents from all over the world. His effortlessly free-wheeling ways have long resonated with the fun-loving South End regulars who’ve since made Tremont 647 their second home. With dishes like the famous lobster mac ’n’ cheese, Andy’s wood-grilled arctic char, and fontina-stuffed tater tots, every bite at this 60-seat eatery comes packed with a dynamic punch of flavor.
Nicknamed “Fearless Chef,” Husbands has dedicated himself wholly to his beloved South End hangout since 1996. Wholly, but not solely: the Johnson & Wales graduate and Chris Schlesinger protégé is also known for his active commitment to such hunger-relief organizations as Cooking Matters and Share Our Strength. And as if all that weren’t enough, Husbands still finds time to compete on the New England barbecue circuit and most recently co-authored the cookbook “Wicked Good Barbecue” with pal Chris Hart and food writer Andrea Pyenson.
Chef Andy's first cookbook, "The Fearless Chef: Innovative Recipes from the Edge of American Cuisine," offers an accessible approach to cooking extraordinary, daring meals.
“Wicked Good Barbecue: Fearless Recipes from Two Damn Yankees Who Have Won the Biggest, Baddest BBQ Competition in the World” has been at the top of Amazon’s “Best Sellers in Barbecuing & Grilling” list since its release date.
